Sony Ericsson is a multinational mobile manufacturer that aims to develop quality mobile phones with top features. Its Vivaz and Xperia X8 are two stylish phone designed to meet the needs of its customer. Both these phones operates over 2G and 3G networks which enables the users with 3G facility of video call, mobile TV, voice call and high-speed internet browsing. Vivaz has a TFT resistive touchscreen of 16M colours. The size of the screen of Vivaz is 3.2 inch and can recognize hand writing as well. While Xperia X8 also comes with TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M color. The scratch resistant glass of Xperia X8 screen keeps it new even after many years.
Both the phones are in-built with alert type of sound along with vibration and MP3 ring tones. These phones have loudspeaker of 3.5 mm jack. Vivaz is imbibed with 75 MB of internal memory. It supports the microSD card which is expandable upto 32 GB and is included with 8 GB with the handset. Xperia X8 is enhanced with 128 MB storage and 168 MB RAM. A 2 GB is included with the handset which can be expanded upto 16 GB and it supports only microSD.
Vivaz comes with an 8 mega pixels camera which is enhanced by other imaging features like auto focus, LED flash, video calling, and touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. Xperia X8 has 3.15 mega pixels camera with geo-tagging facility. Vivaz can capture a good video recording of 720@24fps along with continues auto focus and video light and Xperia X8 can record a VAG@30fps video. Both the phones have GPRS, EDGE, and WALAN feature in order to experience fast internet service with HSDPA speed. The USB port and Bluetooth device of these phones enable the user to share files with others.
Both these Sony Ericsson phones are in-built with Android OS. Vivaz has 720 MHZ of CPU and accelerometer sensors. Xperia comes with chipset of Qualcomm MSM7227. The CPU strength of the Xperia X8 is 600 MHz ARM 11 and Andreno 200 of GPU. Accelerometer, proximity, compass are the sensors integrated in it. The messaging feature of the both the phones are sms, mms, email, IM, and push mail. These phones can entertain its users with stereo FM radio feature. Vivaz supports WAP and HTML browser whereas Xperia X8 supports only HTML browser. These gadgets are in-built with GPS and Java programs.
The additional feature of Sony Ericsson Vivaz is trackID music recognition, organizer, quickoffice document reader, gesture control, voice memo, and predictive text input. Xperia X8 has trackID music recognition, voice memo, and predictive text input is its additional feature. Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is powered by Li-Po 1200 mAh standard battery which has a back up of 446 h to 476 h in standby mode. The maximum talk time of the handset is from 4 h: 45 min to 5 h: 40 min and can play music for 23 h and 40 minutes. Vivaz also has Li-Po 1200 mAh standard battery which can work from 430 h to 440 h in standby mode. The talk time duration of the phone is from 13 h to 5 h: 20 minutes.
Vivaz is available in five stylish color of pink, venus ruby, galaxy blue, silver moon, and cosmic black. Xperia X8 comes in White, Dark Blue/ White, Aqua Blue/ White, Pink/ White, and Silver/ White color. The dimension of Vivaz is 107 x 51.7 x 12.5 mm and of Xperia X8 is 99 x 54 x 15 mm. The net weight of Vivaz and Xperia X8 is same of 104 g.
