Last month Samsung had filed trade mark protection for a number of Galaxy phones. Though some of them may not be used at all, registering is very much necessary for any device, all the same. There is every chance that a few Galaxies will be incorporated in the hardware which will emerge shortly.
Today,there are three Galaxy names which find place in the trademark filings of Samsung. Galaxy Metrix, Galaxy Velvet and Galaxy Legend are the official Galaxy names. It is not like what happened last time, when the company registered the name Galaxy Next, though it had already released a model in that name. The three names are entirely new. Though HTC Legend already exists, the name Legend is new with Samsung.
There are many Galaxy names floating in the air, most of which are not used at all. There is every chance that some of them will end-up as versions of new models, say as in Galaxy SIII. As Samsung has not disclosed anything about its new products being manufactured, it is impossible to say that how many such names can be used at all.
For the time being it is unknown whether the recently registered names will ever show up somewhere in future.
