They are working with Microsoft to provide advanced and improved features to cater to the customer demand. Choice of the features depends on the requests made by Symbian users. Features including Wi-Fi hotspot tethering capabilities; Vcard sending and receiving are promised by the company. To ensure television connectivity, it would include DLNA client and to provide professional photography experience, features like panorama image capabilities will be featured. Other improvements include data voice and messaging tracking capability.


Nokia has introduced dedicated apps to Microsoft Windows Phone Marketplace or Nokia Creative Studio and Nokia Play To, the company’s beta service. App problems have been disappearing, noted Elop. The company is paying attention with Microsoft on carrying out discussions with developers. Currently, there are 100 applications on the Windows Phone marketplace and the number will continue to increase. Experience is getting better for Windows Phone users.


With the launch of Windows 8, Nokia expects increase the number of apps across their markets. At present, they have 80,000 apps in 23 languages across 54 markets. Elop said that the company will make investments in third party apps.
